Three months down and it doesn’t look like time is going to slow down any time soon! If anything is certain in our household, it’s that life is always pivoting. The thing that has kept us on our toes this past week is the damn weather. I wouldn’t be a true Minnesotan without dropping at least one tidbit about our version of March Madness. Mother Nature went off her meds this past Sunday and dumped over a foot and a half of snow, dropped the temperatures down to nearly zero by the middle of the week, and ended it with them back up in the mid-fifties. All I can do is shake my head and count down the days until things dry up and I can break out the flipflops again. Life will be a bit easier with the pups when we can get back outside to walk and play. Thankfully, it should be back in the seventies by next weekend, so we don’t have too much longer in the house! How’s your winter been going?
As I mentioned last month, 2024 is turning into a year of change for me. I’ve slimmed down on my part-time work and dedicated more time to doing things for myself. It’s only been two months since I’ve been down to 2 jobs with a set schedule. We’re getting closer to finding a routine around the house and I’ve been able to really focus on physical and mental health in a way I haven’t in quite some time. I’ve been able to get back into a steady exercise routine whether it’s indoors or outdoors, spend more time with family and friends, and do a lot more things for myself. It’s all getting me one step closer to establishing a firm writing schedule.

I’ve decided to stick with ACX with distribution of my audiobooks for the time being. I’ve opened auditions for Concealed, FFS, WFS, and FOS. I’ve also put Taming J out there as well. It’s been over 6 months since I’ve taken auditions, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of interest comes from it. I am hoping to get some offers on the table for all five books but given the number of challenges and setbacks I experienced with Conflicted and Complicated, I’m going to be very picky with my selection, contracts, and completion deadlines. That being said, I’m not sure what kind of timeline that puts me on, but it feels good to move forward with them again.

If you’re a pitcher or catcher in baseball or softball in Minnesota, the spring season has begun and I’m ready for it. I can't wait for baseball games to finally start. This last storm may postpone a game or two, but that should be it. I’m ready to immerse myself into the ballpark and hopefully watch my godson make a run for a state title in his senior season.
