It's hard to believe that Christmas is only a few days away. What is even more mind-boggling is that 2021 is coming to an end. It's been a year full of ups and downs, but such is life. One thing I'm truly grateful for this holiday season is all the new readers who have found both series as well as the loyal readers and friends who have stuck by my side during the harder times and years where I didn't have a new release to share. I have big plans for 2022 and hope that everything continues to fall into place for me with them. Read on below to catch the latest updates and be sure to head over to my reading group to enjoy the holiday fun. There's been a giveaway a day going for the last week and a half and will continue to go through Christmas. I've been saving the bigger items for the actual holiday, so I encourage you to check them out!
The Secrets and Lies box set will be released on February 14, 2022, so mark your calendars! I'm thrilled to partner up with Give Me Book Promotions for a massive push on the box set for the Secrets and Lies series. This has been something I've wanted to do for years, so to see it finally come to fruition warms my heart. If you're a blogger or author and would be ever so kind to sign up for the event, you can do so here --> https://bit.ly/SecretsandLiesSeriesBoxSetEVENTS. The cover for the box set will be released on January 7th. That date is rapidly approaching. I can't wait for everyone to see it and to get their hands on all the extras that the box set has to offer. If I can pull off a small miracle, I may even include a few chapters of Taming J.
Another very exciting announcement is that the hardcover editions for BOTH series will be available for purchase with the box set. I just finished formatting them and am now waiting on all six proof copies from Amazon to arrive at my doorstep. Once I can hold those pretties in my hands and confirm that there are no issues with the cover and inside content, I will make them LIVE. What is equally exciting is that when Taming J is ready to go, I will be able to release it as an ebook, paperback, and hardcover on release day. When they are ready to go, I will also be doing a giveaway on my author page and reading group for signed copies, so be sure to stay tuned!
I have to give a huge shout out to Kylie at Kylie's Fiction Addiction. She did an AMAZING job with review tours of both series. If you haven't checked out her Facebook group -> https://www.facebook.com/groups/1524472387765302, I highly recommend joining it. She has amazing authors coming through to do takeovers, but she also helps authors find new readers with her review tours. I was able to find so many new readers this summer and fall because of Kylie. I cannot tell you enough how much reviews mean to authors. It helps us in so many ways. If you haven't reviewed some of your favorite books, please take the time to do so. It's the best thank you an author can receive!
I'm still fiddling around with the online store and will continue to do so until I'm satisfied with it. I've got two different bundles out there that I recommend checking out alongside the signed paperbacks and swag boxes. I will be reducing the amount of giveaways I do in 2022 on all platforms, but that's why I want to have the store available to readers who want signed stuff. If you have suggestions for additions or changes, please let me know and I'll do what I can to make it happen!
Unfortunately, there has been an unforeseen delay on the audiobooks and I don't have a firm release for them. What I will say is that I have every intention to get both series available on that platform. I'm disappointed that the Secrets and Lies series won't be ready with the box set, but also grateful that I have the ability to move these kind of dates around without it impacting people too much. I hope to have them ready by early spring. I've also opened up auditions for The Someday Series again and plan to reach out to a few candidates who I think can nail Bri and Trey with perfection after the holidays are over.
I am down for a couple of signings in 2022. It's been several years since I've been to an event and I'm really excited to get back out there. As much as they make me nervous, I truly do enjoy meeting new readers and interacting with other authors in person. Please check out the details below!
DC Bookstars Casino Royale on March 18th and 19th, 2022 at MGM National Harbor
101 MGM National Avenue, Forest Heights, MD 20745. I'm excited for this one! I haven't spent an overly amount of time in the Baltimore/D.C. area so I hope to check out some sights before and after the signing. If you're in the area, come on out and check out the awesome line up of authors that you can find on my events page.

Authors in the Steel City on April 8th, 9th, and 10th at Pittsburgh Marriott North
100 Cranberry Woods Drive, Cranberry Township, PA 16066. I'm thrilled to be returning to Pittsburgh for this signing. I did the first signing they held, but was unable to attend the second year. It's great to be back in one of my favorite cities that also happens to be home to one of my besties. It's going to be a great weekend all around, so be sure to come on out and join the fun.

I am also looking at potentially joining a signing at the Mall of America in Minnesota in August of 2022. I have done this signing in the past and enjoyed it, but it will truly depend on where things are at with my release schedule. Once I determine if I can swing that signing, I'll be sure to share it a monthly blog post and update the events tab on the website.
Before I go, I just wanted to say thank you again to everyone who has supported me for so long. I released Conflicted eight years ago and it amazes me to find new readers each year and to see people continue to fall in love with Mia and Ethan. It all began with Mia and to have her character still manage to enthrall readers really means a lot to me. During the holidays, I've elected to keep all six ebooks at 0.99. If you haven't checked them out, now is the time. They'll return to their original prices after the first of the year.
On a personal note, I wanted to express my gratitude to all the people who have helped me out this year. Whether it's been in my reading group, leaving a review, beta reading, or simply brightening my day with a simple hello, THANK YOU for sparing me that minute and your kind words. We get so caught up in trivial things and the things that frustrate us that sometimes we forget to be appreciative of all the goods we have in our lives and simply kind to one another. I've recently had a reminder of just how very precious life is and that our time on earth is not guaranteed. As the holidays come and go, please remember to share your love for the people in your life and to give them a parting squeeze. You never know when it will be the last time you get to do it. Wishing you all a happy holiday season! MMK
